Endangered wild Oriental dollarbirds flock to Kibichuo Town. You will have a chance to see chicks being raised in a birdhouse in the garden from May through August. Japanese visitors also travel here from all over the country just to observe this. This main house was built in Edo period, and has been renovated many times. Most recently it was remodeled into a house with an irori (central fireplace in the floor). Cooking at the fire and chatting with your friends and family will be a precious and relaxing moment in your life. You can learn from the owner how to cook wild herbs growing in the mountains and fresh seasonal vegetables. It will be an exciting experience!
