At that time, a large amount of money and a large workforce were allocated to this grand project, which took a whole year to accomplish. Unfortunately, this facility once had to close down soon after that because the water temperature was lowered by inflow from another spring. A survey of the field conducted in 1953, revealed abundant hot spring water, which led to the present bath house being built. The bottom of the original caldron used during the Edo era and discovered during the rebuilding is displayed beside the front gate. You can experience history standing along the corridor with the view of original <span class=\"italic\">ishigaki<\/span> (stone walls), which is a must-see attraction. Stepping into the bathhouse after leaving your shoes at the front gate, you will see a corridor over the river. You can enjoy watching fireflies fluttering about from the guest room window facing the river. This place is blessed with great nature so that you can hear birds chirping and view breathtaking seasonal scenery. The water here gently touches your skin, and is a good hot spring for <span class=\"italic\">onsen<\/span> (hot spring) beginners. The water at the source is flowing at 28 \u2103 from the tap while the water in the bathtub is heated.<br \/>\nAt this time the bathhouse is only open in the daytime because of ongoing renovation.
